Student Entry and Behavior Management
- Ensure students come into class in a proper line.
Note: Do not allow any student to enter if they violate this rule.
- Do not allow students to change their seats without the teacher’s permission.
- Do not allow the seat to be altered without permission.
- Students must always raise their hands before speaking.
- Students share a PC in the case of students’ strength, more than no of PC’s.
Power Activation Procedure for Computer Lab
- Unlock the Computer Lab early in first priority ( when the teacher comes to school). Switch on the main power supply.
Prepare the teaching materials: slides, videos, files, or software If needed.
- Turn on a few computers before the class to check if they are working properly.
- Ensure all systems, keyboards, mice, and chairs are arranged neatly.
- If any part of the computer is not working, check the wire connections at the power socket.
- Be careful when plugging devices into electrical sockets.
- If the computer screen turns off suddenly, check the power cable and the VGA cable connected to the back of the monitor.
- Note that three PCs may be connected to one main socket—check carefully.
- If any wire connection is loose, the computer will not function. Make sure all connections are firm and secure.
- If the Lab In-charge cannot resolve a technical issue, inform the IT Manager.
Computer and Internet Readiness
- Check internet connectivity using a working PC before the class starts.
- If the internet is not working properly, inform the IT Department immediately.
- If the IT Department is not available, contact Sir Principal.
- In case the number of students is more than the available PCs, guide students to share PCs cooperatively.
Cleanliness and Maintenance
- Make sure the computer lab is clean, dust-free, and tidy.
- If cleaning is not done daily, report to the Domestic Incharge (Mr. Saimi).
Requisition-SOP
If you need anything for the computer lab ( like a mouse, keyboard, wire, etc.), you must follow a few steps.
- First, take the requisition form from the Accountant’s Office.
- Meet the IT Manager and inform him about the required items.
- After the discussion, write the item name on the requisition form.
- Next, get the form signed by the Principal for approval.
- Finally, return the approved form to the Accountant.
Note: When the material arrives in the computer lab, record all items in the material record sheet.
Weekly meeting with VP and Principal.
The Computer Lab In-Charge is responsible for conducting a weekly meeting with the Vice Principal. During this meeting, the following points must be discussed:
Weekly and Periodic Duties
- Conduct weekly meetings with the Vice Principal.
- Share weekly progress, teaching plans, and challenges.
- Present assignment completion reports.
- Address any discipline or maintenance concerns.
- Before meeting all points entered in the minutes of the meeting sheet.
